Garden State Parkway Crash Causes Two-Mile Backup In Ocean County

A crash on the Garden State Parkway had traffic backed up for more than two miles in Brick Township in the afternoon on Friday, Jan. 12.

The NJDOT says the crash happened southbound on the parkway near exit 91 B-A just before 3:30 p.m. Two lanes of traffic were closed as crews responded to the scene.

All lanes reopened just after 4 p.m., but traffic cameras continued to show traffic at a near-standstill for more than two miles.
